Genshin Impact Swords

Primordial Jade Cutter

Rarity5★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatCRIT Rate
Base PassiveHP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 1.2% of the wielder's Max HP.

Mainly good for characters that benefits off of having high HP, but there are no characters like that as of this weapon's release. However, the secondary and passive provides good value, making this a pretty good weapon to use for most characters because it's a stat stick. Also the best in slot weapon for Keqing as of it's release.

Aquila Favonia

How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatPhysical DMG Bonus
Base PassiveATK is increased by 20%. Triggers on taking DMG: the soul of the Falcon of the West awakens, holding the banner of the resistance aloft, regenerating HP equal to 100% of ATK and dealing 200% of ATK as DMG to surrounding enemies. This effect can only occur once every 15s.

Best sword to use for damage dealers. Since it's a 5 star weapon, it has naturally higher base attack. It also comes with Physical DMG Bonus as the secondary and an amazing passive: Unconditional ATK increase, heal and deal damage when taking hit. Essentially 3 strong passives in 1.

Summit Shaper

Rarity5★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatATK
Base PassiveIncreases Shield Strength by 20%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

Provides high attack with some added utility. Best used on characters that can make shields to be self sufficient, but still not bad if you have characters in the party that can make shields.

Skyward Blade

How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatEnergy Recharge
Base PassiveCrit Rate increased by 4%. Gains Skypiercing Might upon using Elemental Burst: Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and increases the DMG of Normal and Charged Attack hits by 20% for 12s.

This sword is mainly good for characters that you want to use the elemental burst often, but will also stay on the field. Using Elemental Burst gives you higher movement speed, attack speed, and higher normal and charged attack damage. Characters like Jean, Bennett, and Xingqiu are good with this if you make them your damage dealer.

The Black Sword

How to GetBattle Pass
Secondary StatCRIT Rate
Base PassiveIncreases DMG dealt by Normal and Charged Attacks by 20%. Additionally, regenerates 60% of ATK as HP when Normal and Charged Attacks score a CRIT Hit. This effect can occur once every 5s.

Best sword option for sword damage dealers if you don't have any of the 5 star swords. Crit Rate for secondary is very valuable since getting a critical will increase your damage by a lot. The sword also provides healing from the passive, with a fairly short cooldown, allowing you to solo some contents if you rarely get hit. Additionally, the sword also comes with an unconditional normal and charged attack damage by 20%.

Sacrificial Sword

How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatEnergy Recharge
Base PassiveAfter damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s.

Most sword characters have very useful elemental skill. Having the ability to reset the skill will mean more damage, energy gain, and refresh your elemental skills' effect. With energy recharge as the secondary, it makes this sword an amazing choice for support characters that you want to use the burst often like Xingqiu, Qiqi, or Jean.

The Flute

How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatATK
Base PassiveNormal or Charged Attacks grant a Harmonic on hits. Gaining 5 Harmonics triggers the power of music and deals 100% ATK DMG to surrounding enemies. Harmonics last up to 30s, and a maximum of 1 can be gained every 0.5s.

Increases attack as the secondary stat. The passive helps to deal damage in an area, useful for fighting against many enemies. The gathering of the Harmonics can only happen once every 0.5 seconds, but the activation of the damage has no cooldown.

Crafted Swords

Rarity4★
How to GetForging
Secondary StatPhysical DMG Bonus
Base PassiveOn hit, Normal or Charged Attacks increase Base ATK and DEF by 4% for 6s. Max 4 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s.
Rarity4★
How to GetForging
Secondary StatElemental Mastery
Base PassiveDealing Elemental DMG increases all DMG by 6% for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can only occur once every 1s.

In most cases, prototype rancour is the better option to craft. This is because Iron Sting isn't really a good option, since it gives elemental mastery as the secondary stat, and a passive that can only be properly utilized by characters with low elemental skill cooldown. This isn't rare for sword user characters, but it requires constant use and uptime to be considered worth it compared to prototype rancour's ease of use, and also comes with 16% BASE attack and defense.

Event Swords

Rarity4★
How to GetEvent
Secondary StatEnergy Recharge
Base PassiveIncreases Elemental Skill DMG by 16% and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 4%.

Quite a strong sword to use for support sword characters. It has energy recharge as the secondary stat, to help reach their burst much faster. The boost to elemental skill is also quite useful, especially if you managed to get it to refinement 5 during the event. It's good for characters like Albedo, Bennett, Xingqiu, or Jean if you play them as supports.

Best Claymores

Wolf's Gravestone

Rarity5★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatATK
Base PassiveIncreases Base ATK by 20%. On hit, attacks against enemies with less than 30% HP increase all party members' Base ATK by 40% for 12s. Can only occur once every 30s.

Provides high attack boost from the weapon's base attack, secondary, and unconditional passive. Attacking an enemy with less than 30% hp will give a party wide buffs by 40% at refinement level 1. Definitely the best claymore to use, even for non damage dealer characters.

Skyward Pride

Rarity5★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatEnergy Recharge
Base PassiveIncreases all DMG by 8%. After using an Elemental Burst, Normal or Charged Attack, on hit, creates a vacuum blade that does 80% of ATK as DMG to enemies along its path. Lasts for 20s or 8 vacuum blades.

Skyward Pride can be the better choice for some characters, compared to Wolf's Gravestone. The passive effect that deals additional damage is a separate thing from your main attack damage. This means that it can also crit, causing a lot of high follow up damage. Most claymore users attacks are pretty slow, but Xinyan's charge attack is a fast spin that can really make good use out of Skyward Pride's passive.

Prototype Aminus

Rarity4★
How to GetForging
Secondary StatATK
Base PassiveOn hit, Normal or Charged Attacks have a 50% chance to deal an additional 240% ATK DMG to enemies within a small AoE. Can only occur once every 15s.

You can't go wrong sticking with this weapon for most claymore users, unless you are using Noelle that focuses on DEF, but it's good for most since it gives high attack and a strong burst passive. The damage is also dealt in an area, and while it has a fairly long cooldown, it can end up dealing some high numbers since it's already at 240% of your attack at refinement level 1. This has quite high potential if you managed to get lucky and get drops from the weekly boss to increase the refinement levels.

Serpent Spine

Rarity4★
How to GetBattle Pass
Secondary StatCRIT Rate
Base PassiveEvery 4s a character is on the field, they will deal 6% more DMG and take 3% more DMG. This effect has a maximum of 5 stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by 1 stack when the character takes DMG.

Comes with some risk if you use it since you will take more damage, and takes some setup, but it has high damage potential. If your main damage dealer is a claymore user, and like the playstyle, as well as having teams/characters that can compliment this (like shield giving characters, or Beidou to avoid taking damage), then this can end up outperforming the Aminus for higher DPS.

Sacrificial Sword

Rarity4★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatEnergy Recharge
Base PassiveAfter damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s.

This can be a good option for your supporting character(s) that uses a claymore, and is mainly used for the passive. Having a reset can help deal more damage, but it does have a long cooldown. It's main strength is giving you more energy for everyone on your team when you get to use the skill again, as well as having energy recharge for the secondary can help you reach your elemental burst quicker.

The Unforged

An offensive weapon that also boosts shield strength, best paired with a character that can consistently make shields, or claymore users that can make a shield themselves like Xinyan or Beidou. Out of the other weapons, The Unforged is only a second good option if you were to make a DPS focused character, while Wolf's Gravestone will often be the better choice since it can provide higher attack buff and works for the team.

Crafted Claymores

Rarity4★
How to GetForging
Secondary StatATK
Base PassiveOn hit, Normal or Charged Attacks have a 50% chance to deal an additional 240% ATK DMG to enemies within a small AoE. Can only occur once every 15s.
Rarity4★
How to GetForging
Secondary StatDEF
Base PassiveOn hit, Normal or Charged Attacks increase ATK and DEF by 6% for 6s. Max 4 stacks (24% total). Can only occur once every 0.5s.
Rarity4★
How to GetForging
Secondary StatPhysical DMG
Base PassiveHitting an enemy with Normal and Charged Attacks has a 60% chance of forming and dropping an Everfrost Icicle above them, dealing 80% AoE ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 10s. Enemies affected by Cryo are dealt 200% ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 10s.

Prototype Archaic aims to focus more on damage since it comes with atk% as the secondary. It's the best one to use and the generally recommended Claymore for damage dealers as the f2p option.

Whiteblind is the better option to go with if you are using characters like Noelle or Xinyan, but for other claymore users that are meant to deal damage, it's better to go with Aminus.

Snow-tombed Starsilver is only good for certain situations. The ice damage from the passive deals physical damage, and does not apply Cryo to the enemy. It deals less damage than Archaic's passive, but has lower cooldown. Starsilver comes with a physical damage bonus as the secondary, so it won't be good with Chongyun who imbues his attacks into Cryo.

Best Bows

Skyward Harp

Rarity5★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatCrit Rate
Base PassiveIncreases CRIT DMG by 20%. Hits have a 60% chance to inflict a small AoE attack, dealing 100% Physical ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 4s.

Skywayrd Harp is definitely a step above Amos' Bowin terms of 5 star weapon, since it increases both crit rate and crit damage, which will end up dealing more damage than Amos' Bow. It also comes with a pretty strong additional passive that deals damage by 100% of your attack every 4 seconds.

Amos Bow

Rarity5★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatATK
Base PassiveIncreases Normal Attack and Aimed Shot DMG by 12%. Increases DMG from arrows shot by a further 8% for every 0.1s that the arrow is in flight, up to 0.5s. Stacks up to 5 times on each arrow.

High base attack because it's a 5 star bow, and comes with attack increase as the secondary. The passive simply increases damage of normal and aimed shot, good for characters that will be spamming normal attacks in general.

Rust

Rarity4★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatPhysical DMG Bonus
Base PassiveIncreases Normal Attack DMG by 40% but decreases Aimed Shot DMG by 8%

Boosts attack from the weapon's secondary, and damage is further boosted from the passive. Nice and easy bow for high damage that can be used for any bow users if you want them to be the main DPS.

The Viridescent Hunt

Rarity4★
How to GetBattle Pass
Secondary StatCrit Rate
Base PassiveUpon hit, Normal and Aimed Shot Attacks have a 50% chance to generate a Cyclone, which will continuously attract surrounding enemies, dealing 40% of ATK as DMG to these enemies every 0.5s for 4s. This effect can only occur once every 14s.

Gives Crit Rate secondary and a useful passive effect. The passive helps group up multiple enemies, similar to Venti, except in a much smaller scale. This can be really good if you don't have any crowd controlling ability on your team, and is an amazing choice if you can take advantage of it using characters like Tartaglia.

Compound Bow

Rarity4★
How to GetForging
Secondary StatPhysical DMG Bonus
Base PassiveNormal Attack and Aimed Shot hits increase ATK by 4% and Normal Attack SPD by 1.2% for 6s. Max 4 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s.

Mainly used for auto attack spam, similar to Rust, but it's still a pretty good weapon to use for most DPS bow users. It's also easily accessible to all players since it's craftable, which means that it can be easier to refine compared to the gacha weapons.

Crafted Bows

Rarity4★
How to GetForging
Secondary StatPhysical DMG Bonus
Base PassiveNormal Attack and Aimed Shot hits increase ATK by 4% and Normal Attack SPD by 1.2% for 6s. Max 4 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s.
Rarity4★
How to GetForging
Secondary StatATK
Base PassiveAimed Shot hits on weak points increase Movement SPD by 10% and ATK by 36% for 10s.

The two craftable bows are for 2 different playstyles. Prototype Crescent is for players that love to aim at enemy weakpoints, which are guaranteed crits, while compound bow is for players that wants to spam normal attacks. Compound Bow is generally considered better since it comes with attack speed increase, allowing you to hit faster and stronger from the attack buff as well.

Catalyst

Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds

Rarity5★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatCrit Rate
Base PassiveIncreases Movement SPD by 10%. When in battle, earn a 6% Elemental DMG Bonus every 4s. Max 4 stacks. Lasts until the character falls or leaves combat.

Compared to Skyward Atlas, Lost Prayer can give higher elemental damage bonus, but requires some time to build up. It's other strength is that it gives crit rate as the secondary, which is always going to be a very valuable stat since it heavily impacts the final damage dealt if you get a crit.

Skyward Atlas

Rarity5★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatATK
Base PassiveIncreases Elemental DMG Bonus by 12%. Normal Attack hits have a 50% chance to earn the favor of the clouds. which actively seek out nearby enemies to attack for 15s, dealing 160% ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 30s.

Unconditional elemental attack boost, and has a chance to deal additional damage when normal attacking, but has a fairly long cooldown, making it somewhat unreliable. Still a solid weapon to use if you manage to get it since it gives high base stats compared to the other 4 star options.

Solar Pearl

Rarity4★
How to GetBattle Pass
Secondary StatCrit Rate
Base PassiveNormal Attack hits increase Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG by 20% for 6s. Likewise, Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst hits increase Normal Attack DMG by 20% for 6s.

If you plan on using a catalyst user for damage dealer, then Solar Pearl offers a pretty good and consistent damage. It boosts damage of normal attack, elemental skill, and burst with a considerable amount, but under certain conditions. It's easy to manage, but definitely something to be mindful of when you use it.

The Widsith

Rarity4★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatCrit Dmg
Base PassiveWhen a character takes the field, they gain a random theme song for 10s: Recitative: Increases Base ATK by 60%, Interlude: Elemental Mastery is increased by 240, Aria: Increases all Elemental DMG by 48% (Can only occur once every 30s)

Can be somewhat of a gamble since the passive effect randomly gives 1 of the 3, but they all give fairly high values, and is really good for characters that takes advantage of all the possible outcomes. The cooldown of the effect is pretty long, but the buff duration gives enough time for some good burst in the duration.

Eye of Perception

Rarity4★
How to GetSummon (Wish)
Secondary StatATK
Base PassiveNormal and Charged Attacks have a 50% chance to fire a Bolt of Perception, dealing 240% ATK as DMG. This bolt can bounce between enemies a maximum of 4 times. This effect can occur once every 12s.

Has a chance to fire an additional attack every 12 seconds with 240% of your attack at refine level 1. Pretty simple to use weapon with nice secondary and passive, and a decent option for most of catalyst users.

Memory of Dust

A pretty good weapon for characters that can properly make use of its passive. It works best on Ningguang since she can generate shields from Geo elemental reaction. You can still use this for any other catalyst user, as long as you have a good way to make shields by using someone like Noelle, Zhongli, Diona, etc. If you don't have a consistent way of creating shields, then the weapon is just a big stat stick because of the high base stats, secondary, and 20% attack increase from passive.
